Theology 101 - Holy Spirit

Summary: The Holy Spirit is a "He" not an "it"; He is to be pursued and not ignored. He is the ever present third person of the Trinity.

Key Scripture (John 15:26): “When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.

Who is the Holy Spirit

2 Corinthians 1:21–22 (NIV84) - 21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days;

And they shall prophesy.

  • We were never meant to do the Christian life ALONE
  • Next to Jesus, the Holy Spirit's coming and outpouring represents one of the greatest gifts mankind has ever been privileged to receive
