Let’s Talk about Connect Groups

From a practical standpoint, let’s face it, when your church is large, it can become very easy to get lost in the crowd. In addition to our Sunday worship experience, when do you get an opportunity to build relationships? Where do you go where everybody knows your name? We believe those questions can be answered in your Connect Group.

We believe that we were created to have genuine connections with other people.   If you want your relationship with Christ to continually grow, you’ve got to connect with people who have the same goal.  One of the ways our church encourages those relationships is through our Connect Groups. Connect Groups are meetings of 3 or more people who gather each week in a home, workplace, or online. Groups meet to encourage each other, hang out, study and apply God’s Word and serve together.

The best way to experience a small group is to start one of your own. It’s simple! Just grab a few friends, find a place to meet, take our brief training and you’re good to go!

Why Join?

A Connect Group is where growth takes place!  In the process, you grow from being an individual in a big church to being a connected member within a smaller community.  Being a part of a Connect Group at Hobart Assembly is an excellent opportunity to build authentic and long-lasting relationships with people who genuinely care for you while growing together spiritually.

What Happens in a Connect Group?

Connect Group meetings are built around various means of studying the Word of God that include relevant Bible teachings, exploring specific topics, discussions of sermons, and reading select Christian books.  Group meetings are designed to give group members time to get to know each other, study God’s Word , pray for each other, and to have fun!

We have groups that meet onsite at the church and offsite in homes througout northwest Indiana.  There are groups for men, women, singles, married, and special interests. Whether you are looking for a place to meet new friends, connect to a mentor, grow spiritually or serve your community, there’s a Connect Group for you!

How to Get Connected?

Our goal is to help you find opportunities to build authentic and genuine relationships with the people you worship with each week.  Since our Connect Groups are relationship based we encourage you to find some of your friends and start a group together.  Hosting a group is easy and we’ll provide you with all the tools you need to lead a group successfully.

If you’re new to the area and need some help finding a group please provide your information HERE  and we’ll respond back with some potential groups that are close to you.
