HOBART ASSEMBLY

CORE VALUES

01

PEOPLE MATTER TO GOD

Jesus called us to go out and spread the word of God. We believe that this is not done enough. We make it a priority to go outside of the church walls to reach the lost and broken. We hope that you will join us in doing so.

02

THE WORD OF GOD

We believe the Bible is without error and that it is the inspired Word of God.  Anointed preaching and teaching has its source in the Word of God and we will not waiver from its truth.

03

GOD'S MANIFEST PRESENCE

Purposely cultivating hunger for God’s manifest presence and openness to the Holy Spirit experiences deepens our friendship with God and the awareness that we carry His presence for the sake of the world. As a lifestyle, we focus on Him while we minister and attempt to say what God is saying and do what He is doing.

04

AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIPS

We believe loving, open, honest, and vulnerable relationships should permeate every aspect of our ministry.  We believe Christ-focused small groups are the best environgment for developing these relationships and promoting individual spiritual growth.

05

GIFT-BASED MINISTRY

We believe God has uniquely created and gifted each beleiver for serving the Body of Christ.  Fulfillment of a person's role within the Kingdom of God is accomplished with excellence, efficiency, and effectiveness when people function in their area of giftedness.

06

STRONG FAMILIES MATTER

Strong families are the backbone of every prospering society and essential to any healthy, vibrant church. Because of this, we invest heavily into our youth and children and in the health of marriage and family relationships.

07

TRANSFORMATIONAL GROWTH

At Hobart Assembly we are committed to developing fully devoted followers of Christ who are sensitive to the Spirit's leading and grow up into spiritual maturity in their understanding and application of the Word of God in their every day lives.

08

EFFECTIVE, PURPOSEFUL PRAYER

We believe that God desires his people to pray and that he hears and answers prayers.  Therefore, we rely on private and public prayer in all ministries and activities of this church.

HOBART ASSEMBLY

OUR HISTORY

Hobart Assembly had its humble beginnings in 1938 under the leadership of Rev. James Menzie.  Since that time, Hobart Assembly has moved several times.  In 1976, Hobart Assembly moved to its present location on Ridge Road in Hobart.  Throughout the years, Hobart Assembly has left a lasting legacy of faith, focus on reaching the lost, and seeing tranformational change in peoples lives as a result of their newfound relationship with Christ.

In October 2006, Pastor Ryan and Rebecca McDowell came and accepted God's call to pastor the church.  Since that time, God has blessed Hobart Assembly with much growth and revitalization.  The church has grown over 400% and we now have three Sunday worship services to help meet the needs of the growing congregation.

In following the Holy Spirit's leading, Hobart Assembly has renewed its emphasis on reaching the lost through evangelism and missions.

In 2016, Hobart Assembly began its next stage in God's plan to build yet again.  Without a doubt, these are exciting days!  If you don't have a home church we invite you to come and be a part.
